Scottish Government are currently preparing a Low Emission Strategy for Scotland. A Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report for the proposed Low Emissions Strategy has been prepared with regard to the requirements of section 9 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005. The Screening Report has been submitted to the Scottish Government's SEA Gateway, setting out the views of Scottish Government on the likelihood of significant environmental effects for the proposed Low Emissions Strategy and the potential for requiring an SEA.
